Rating by category:
- Excellent location, rooms looked very nice (we stayed in a venetian style room) - good breakfast - nice staff - good price
-Not enough electrical outlets and the existing ones not positioned very good. Had to unplug the tv and a lamp so I can charge my cell phones, netbook and most important my camera. -Not the best sound proofing
I liked location, easy to access everything, room was clean, stuff polite enaugh.
Internet doesnt work very well. main thing what i didnt like - poor quality of morning coffee!
Hotel is placed in the very heart of the Venice City and just takes 5 minutes to reach the Piazza di San Marco. It is very old hotel but that absolutely reflects the Classic Venician Style.
The breakfast is very poor and needs to be improved. And the bathrooms....Since there is no glass around the bath tube, you are just getting so confused in which position you need to get your shower in order not to turn the bathroom floor into a small lake. It is written over the shower "Call for help"... When you experience your first shower, you understand why they put that plate over there....cos you really need a help of someone else to hold your showerhead while you are showering......
Location. Unmistakenly Venetian
Lack of the kind of facilities we are used to. Very small showerroom, small bedroom.lack of bar. Small cramped breakfast room. In the 4 nights we were there we must have dealt with at least 6 different people behind the small reception desk, none of whom seemed very interested in the people staying in the hotel.
Location, safetiness, easy check in/out
The location was central and we enjoyed exploring Venice from this site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was really nice having two window in the bedroom as well as one in the bathroom. We were able to shop without walking great distances. The room's decor was plesant and fitting for the hotels style.
The location is the best feature of this hotel. It's a short walk from the Rialto stop of the vaporetto from either the P.le Roma or Venezia SL train station. It's also a quick walk to the Piazza San Marco.
Do not ask for the top floor rooms. You'll have to use the stairs from the floor where the lift stops. The front desk clerks could be retrained to learn a little bit more English as well.
Good hotel in the middle of Venice.
WiFi did not work in the room, even though it is advertised.
This hotel has very good location to visit the city. Rooms are very clean Breakfast at the hotel is very good people working there are helpful
People at reception desk do there job correct but could be more friendly
Excellent location, friendly staff specially Mario at the front desk.
We got a room with a handicap friendly bathroom. Very uncomfortable for us.
Breakfast was fresh and varied, with fruits, cereal and juices, including coffe. The setting was delightful and clean, and assistance was available.
I loved the traditional Venetian rooms. We stayed for two nights and each day we had fresh towels. The staff were really friendly and the location was second to none. Only 2 minutes from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge.
The only thing I would have changed would be for the rooms to have black out blinds/curtains.
Loved the decor, the waitresses looked lovely in their outfits location was brilliant for short stay easily accessible to the sites.
We left our cruise ship, took the people mover, then Vaporetto #2 to Rialto Bridge, then it was a quick walk. Location was great, only about 5 mins walk from both St Mark's and Rialto Bridge. Staff varied, some spoke great English and were very helpful, one spoke very little and was quite grumpy.
We were on the 4th floor as we wanted single beds. Lift only went to 3rd, and no-one available to help to drag our heavy bags up the 20 stairs to the top, or to take them down on the last day. Also could not get bags from Rialto vaporetto stop to hotel without having to go over a small bridge. But location was great and the price was good also. Well worth the effort dragging the bags to be so well situated in Venice.
the internet was good.
THE LOCATION was between to broken streets, the hotel was made a 1000 years ago and so was the interior. our room was dirty and smelly and as small as a shoe BOX. no one should ever goto this hotel. the breakfast was extremely poor.
